The Hopping Pig is a gastropub located in the Gaslamp District of downtown San Diego. They serve around 15 or so beers with many originating from breweries in San Diego and other parts of southern California. The two pints on the bar belong to me and Kim (I think she’s hiding behind me).

The Yard House is a chain of bars across the United States and each bar has between 130-250 different beers available. This particular Yard House is located in downtown San Diego.

The interior of the very dark Hamilton’s Tavern in San Diego. The pub serves a huge range of bottled beers as well as many on tap including their own beers. The tap handles hanging from the ceiling is a nice touch and makes a change from pump clips.

Josh Neff from the Ballast Point Tasting Room about to pour one of the excellent beers on offer. An impressive 20 beers are available to try including some more unusual beers like their Indra Kunidra curry export stout, Jalapeno Smokescreen and 12% Barmy Ale made with apricots and honey.

Simple tap handles at The Beer Company in San Diego. Around 7 core beers are brewed on-site and the brewery also barrel ages beers in a variety of barrels such as ones that once contained vermouth and Jack Daniels.

Barleymash during the opening week of NFL. By 10am the bar was already full of football fans having brunch and beer. Located in the Gaslight Quarter of San Diego, around 30 beers are available and all football games are shown on around 30+ big screens.
