The Bear Inn is one of Oxford's oldest pubs supposedly dating back to 1242. The present building dates to the early 17th century and consists of a few small wood panelled rooms that are decorated with hundreds and hundreds of ties from schools, colleges and organisations around the world. the photo shows the small drinking area near the front entrance of the pub. It has enough room for no more than half a dozen people and has its own access to the small bar. You can view more photos and read a review of the pub on Travels with Beer.

The Lamb and Flag pub is one of Oxford's oldest pubs. It has been a pub since about 1695, and parts of the original building still remain. It is owned by St John's College and some of the profit the pub makes goes towards scholarships at the college. You can view more photos and read a review of the pub on Travels with Beer.
