It's somewhat of a tradition for the Otley Brewing Co. staff to get the company logo painted on their faces at the Great Welsh Beer and Cider Festival. You can read a review of the festival on Travels with Beer.

Dark Horse Uber Boober Cream Ale

Uber Boober Cream Ale by Dark Horse Brewing. This was a cream ale brewed with baby formula and poured through...a breast pump. Very tasty actually. Assuming they could not get approval to use actual breast milk :) Unfortunately breast pumps are not made to be used so heavily and so often, and the pump broke before everyone could get some. Got mine though.

Dogfish Bacon Randall

Bacon in the randall to add some delicious porky flavor to beer at the Extreme Beer Fest. Dogfish enjoys using their randall system in strangely exciting ways.

Drink up!

A very big cheers to all of our loyal readers. Thanks for all your kind words. Here's a taste coming at you from a local festival. The beer is made by Custom Brewcrafters for a pub called Hose 22. Cheers!

Alchemist Brewery

Alchemist Pub & Brewery Ouroboros Double IPA. The beer from this brewery is usually draft only, but the brewer personally bottled a few specifically for the Media Luncheon at the 2010 GABF. I was lucky enough to attend and try this amazing brew, as well as hear the brewer speak about it. If you live in Vermont, go give this brewery a try!

Michael Jackson

Michael Jackson raises a glass and smiles down upon 2010 GABF attendees.

Brangwyn Hall is the setting for the annual Swansea Bay beer festival which takes place every August. According to Brew Wales, 'The somewhat risqué murals on the walls of the hall, painted by Frank Brangwyn, were originally meant for the House of Lords but were rejected by them. These artworks were commissioned by Lord Iveagh of the Guinness family and ended up in Swansea.'
