The Thirsty Monk is regular rated as one of the best bars in the US. The bar is split over two levels with US beers dominating the ground floor bar and a dedicated Belgian beer bar in the basement. In this shot is the warmer, cosier basement Belgian bar.

The Dovetail is a Belgian beer paradise located in the Clerkenwell area of London. The pub has a large selection of draught and bottled Belgian beers as well as food cooked with beer. This pub was also featured on Beer Lens back in October.

Yes we've already featured the glory that is Tripel Karmeliet on Beer Lens before. Having another glass of it recently, I was compelled to take this shot to show off both the nicely done logo and what a glass of this fantastic beer looks like when the head settles.

The Lowlander in Covent Garden London has a huge selection of Belgian beers (probably more than the nearby Porterhouse). The food menu looked impressive in particular the chicken cooked with Leffe which I unfortunately didn't get to try.

Glass of Tripel Karmeliet (which was voted the World's Best Ale at the World Beer Awards in 2008) enjoyed by my blogging partner Rob at The Dovetail in London. Lovely beer, lovely glass. More from my UK trip to come.

Scene from a Belgian beer tasting at the Tap and Mallet in Rochester, NY. Included lots of Belgian and Belgian-style beers. This is only part of the lineup. Third from the left is a bottle of Westvleteren 8.

View from a beer drinkers perspective. Do not recall which beer this was, but it was during a Belgian beer tasting. Title stolen from Peter Gabriel. Beautiful lacing on the glass.
