This fabulous grade II listed pub is operated by the Marble Brewery and was built in 1888. It has a high glazed ceiling, ceramic walls and a mosaic floor. As well as serving 10+ ales, many brewed on-site, they also sell excellent cheese plates.

A great shot there of one of my all-time favourite Mancunian watering holes. The missus and I have spend many a happy evening (when the place is usually a fair bit busier) playing ‘spot the folks about to leave and see if we can shark on in and get their seats before the other lot do’. Great ales, great food, great place.
