The Star Inn is one of the cities oldest pubs and was first licenced as a public house in 1760. The Star retains many original features including the 19th Century bar fittings and the numbered rooms, compulsory when Licensing Laws required all rooms to be numbered and listed for their purpose. The pub is close to the centre of Bath but far enough that it doesn't attract too many tourists.
