The small village of Avoncliff, a short train journey south of Bath, has a very popular pub with possibly one of the best beer gardens in the UK. The pub itself is 16th century and beer garden stretches down many terraces to the edge of the River Avon. The aqueduct carries the Kennet and Avon Canal and construction of the bridge was completed in 1801.
