The Viaduct Tavern in London is a striking Victorian pub owned by the Fullers Brewery. The pub is located across the road from the Old Bailey, England's Central Criminal Court. On the site of the present day court used to be the notorious Newgate Prison and next to it, the Giltspur Street Compter. The compter was used to house debtors. The cellar of the Viaduct Tavern still contains cells from the compter and the staff are happy to take you downstairs to view them. You can view a shot of one of the cells here.
