Situated at 1,481ft above sea level, the Kirkstone Pass Inn in Cumbria is one of the highest pubs in England. I recently drove up the 'challenging on a good day' Kirkstone Pass to visit the pub but was disappointed to find that snow had called off play. The pub has got a beer garden which, on a good day, offers spectacular views. Here's what the beer garden looked like when I visited. See also a video of the area.
